Deacon Nicholas Jurgensmeyer

to be

ORDAINED

Remember to pray for Deacon Nicholas Jurgensmeyer as he is ordained into the Priesthood of Jesus Christ next Saturday, May 26 at 10:00 at the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita, Kansas. We’re so proud of our Parish son and look forward to his First Blessings here at Sacred Heart at Sunday Morning’s  9:30 Mass on June 10.

Pray also for those men who will be ordained as Deacons on the same day at 10:00 in our Diocese at Holy Family Cathedral.

The Bishop is coming!

Friday, June 8th, is the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Bishop Konderla will be at our parish to celebrate Mass at 6 pm. After Mass the Bishop will bless our construction projects and stay for dinner. We’ll have a speaker who will give a presentation on the architecture of our church during dinner. In order to help the cooks prepare for the meal, Sara Osborn has placed a sign up sheet in the back of church to let us know you’re coming! Thank you to the 100 parishioners who have already signed up! Please mark your calendars and join your parish family for an evening with the Bishop.

"THEOLOGY UNCORKED"

Returns

The Sacred Heart Parish "Theology Uncorked" program sponsored by the Amazing Parish Leadership Team, to promote "a spirit of trust, love, and understanding" among our adult Catholic community will have a presentations throughout the year.

Members are invited to attend a monthly discussion involving various Catholic leaders regarding current issues. Parish members are invited to bring their own bottle of wine, "to uncork" during the discussion.

Food is ALWAYS provided.

We have had some great presenters and we usually have anywhere from 10-30 in attendance.  Please support this evening of catholic awareness and brotherhood. We look forward to seeing many of you again at our family presentations.
